Dr. Akinjokun Adesina Adebayo is an Architect and Researcher with a specialized focus on the intersection of culture and the built environment. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Architecture from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
Driven by a keen interest in how human identity shapes residential spaces, Dr. Akinjokun earned his Doctorate (PhD) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor. His doctoral research centered on Housing, with a significant emphasis on People’s Attachment to Cultural Housing. This niche expertise explores how traditional values and cultural heritage influence modern housing satisfaction and psychological belonging.
To date, Dr. Akinjokun has contributed significantly to architectural discourse with five peer-reviewed journal articles, a book chapter, and a presented conference paper. His work continues to bridge the gap between architectural design and the socio-cultural needs of inhabitants.
